Tree planting will be one of the hardest jobs you will ever have both physically and mentally (mostly mental).
You will live in a camp outside of a town.
Full training provided for new planters by well-experienced staff.
95% quality is expected from day one.
Be prepared for meager earnings the first few days until you learn if
you are a new planter. Don’t expect to make $200.00 your first day, it takes a few days to get the hang of it.
You have to able to set goals for yourself and attain them, be self-motivated and competitive.
No holidays.
4 days on and 1 off, is a typical work schedule.
Breakfast is at 6:00 am, leave camp at 7:00 am, quit work at 5:30 pm.,
supper between 6-7:00 pm., depending on the drive time.
We work in all weather, rain, snow and heat.
There are lots of bugs.
Physical for the first couple of weeks carrying loads of 20-30 pounds of trees around your waist all day.
Sometimes you will have to walk 30 minutes or more to get to your place of work for the day (Block).(not typical)
There are no amenities on the block.
Monotonous work.
You will be away from home the whole summer.
Daily camp costs are charged per day for all meals and camp. The food
quality is extremely high and very nutritious. We have an excellent
cook.
Camp has a dining tent, kitchen tent, shower tents, dry tent and bathroom tents.
Cash advances will be provided on days off in town, Final pay is mailed to you.
On days off planters will be brought to town to do laundry and get supplies if needed.
You are paid per tree that you plant and the price is determined by the
difficulty of the land. Experienced planters typically make between $250.00-$400
per day, rookies between $150-$250 per day(after successful training). We will provide
transportation to the work site and back on a daily basis
Before the Season
Put
in a little time every day before the season starts. Then you will cash
