Diverse Silviculture is based out of Whitecourt, AB, and has been operating in central Alberta since April of 2000.   In the year 2000, we started with six employees and have grown to the 15 employees currently working last season.   Of our 15 employees 11 are return employees from the previous years.   We have both Alberta certified surveyors, and British Columbia certified surveyors on staff.   Up to this point have been doing mostly silviculture surveys in Alberta, along with a little tree planting on Vancouver Island.   Please see the attached list of contracts completed for a more in depth look at the types of work we have been doing.   All of the contracts listed were completed with highest level of safety and quality, and all contracts were completed before contract deadlines.

Jim Ilott and Trevor Wall own diverse Silviculture.   Jim has been working in the forestry industry for approximately 25 years.   Most of his experience has been with tree planting.   Trevor Wall has been in the forestry industry for 15 years, and has a diploma in Forestry Resources Technology from Malaspina University College.   His experience ranges from tree planting to silviculture surveys, and block layout.

During the past five years Diverse Silviculture has developed a fully digital survey system that can perform both the Establishment and Performance surveys for Alberta.   All data is collected on PDA’s in the field, and all maps and reports are printed from a base station.    We are currently in the process of getting a digital system up and running for the British Columbia surveys.

We are currently looking for experienced, ticketed surveyors.
